Venue Manager

We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to join our team at The Moose Tavern, a popular pub located in the scenic town of Te Anau, Southland. As the Venue Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the business towards its strategic goals. This is a full-time role based in Te Anau.
What you'll be doing
Manage all aspects of the venue's operations, including staffing, inventory, budgets, and compliance
Provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming environment for all our guests
Lead and motivate a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a positive and productive work culture
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the venue and attract new customers
Ensure the venue meets all relevant health, safety, and licensing requirements
Collaborate with the wider management team to contribute to the overall business strategy
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar venue management role, preferably within the hospitality industry
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to create a positive, welcoming atmosphere
Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience
