About the Role We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as a Unit Coordinator for the Rest Home (Edinburgh) Unit at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, located in Invercargill.
The role includes working Sunday to Thursday, 0800 - 1630 with a shared on-call component.
As the Rest Home Unit Coordinator, you will use your nursing and people skills to: Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care is always "good enough for mum and dad" Foster the Ryman culture which promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for your team Ensure all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident within the Rest Home Unit Actively engage with residents' families/whanau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards, creating lasting relationships Ensure your team embraces a range of beliefs, ethnicities, gender, sexuality, and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Perform and support your nursing team to conduct interRAI assessments Dedicate quality time with your team, including flexibility of rostered hours on different shifts to connect with all team members within the unit Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team that promotes respect and trust Participate as a positive and trusting member of a team that works together as one Provide support to your Clinical Manager and Village Manager About You To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have: A current APC (annual practising certificate) interRAI training or willingness to gain competency Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader The ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your team Kindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residents Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as per a roster coordinated by the Village Manager About Ryman At Ryman, we believe the measure of a full life is one that gets richer with age.
