Generally, a TPM works within one Product domain and has a deep understanding of the product capabilities of that domain but also a general understanding of the product capabilities across the entire Spend Clarity Enterprise product suite. They work in close collaboration with Senior Technical Product Managers (STPMs) and Product Directors to understand the product strategy, market drivers and business goals and then execute the roadmap for the product domain. The TPM role is to champion & be the voice of "why" and "what" in inward phases of product development, from design to delivery within daily engineering dialogue.They are accountable for feature and product outcomes in alignment with product strategy, value proposition & client/market needs. They are responsible for understanding what is valuable to the business, and what is feasible from development perspective, facilitating the requirement definition and working closely with the engineering colleagues to prioritise and plan the development work. While not accountable for delivery team operations, the TPM does monitor delivery progress and will actively communicate risks to Product Management leadership & Engineering leadership where necessary.
