The Technical Product Owner is the technical solution owner for a product and/or products within the Advantive portfolio. The technical product owner deeply partners with product management to understand customer problems/needs and is responsible for translating the prioritized roadmap into clearly understandable, highly actionable, simplified technical requirements in the form of user stories to help development deliver customer value quickly, fully, and with high quality. Responsibilities:  Own the success and profitability of the product(s) you are responsible for by partnering with product management and development to deliver ongoing customer value and achieve business objectives  Translate the product roadmap to clear, concise, and actionable user stories complete with acceptance criteria that development can execute against  Evaluate development requests against current solutions and recommend forward-looking strategies for improved scale and performance  Review manufacturer's technical solutions and provide high-level effort estimates for planning purposes  Collaborate with hardware vendors to understand how they communicate with software and propose scalable solutions  Collaborate with development and professional services to provide clear delivery dates that align with customer go-live schedules  Operate as scrum master or as the product representative of the scrum team  Continuously evaluate development results to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality  Continuously evaluate development results from sprint to sprint to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality of releases  Track usage and performance of your product with appropriate metrics and measurables  Collaborate with stakeholders to bring the product vision, roadmap, and appropriate areas of technical debt elimination into the product backlog, capturing user needs as user stories, practicing user-centered design concepts  Manage the product backlog and own the prioritization of upcoming sprints  Collaborate with the project team and extended teams to ensure the product backlog is visible with prioritized work and ongoing status communicated  Work closely with the product management and marketing team to support the development of successful go-to-market strategies and content  Create and maintain appropriate product documentation to support the go-to-market motion and to increase user awareness of new capabilities  Serve as a subject matter expert and product spokesperson for your product portfolio  Competencies:  To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:  Results Orientation – operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on generating high-quality results  Drive and Discipline – lead with a sense of urgency and a proactive, disciplined, and organized approach  Problem-solver – determine opportunities and threats through comprehensive customer and market analysis and rapidly define our path to product success  Detail-oriented – proven track record of defining detailed product features and requirements with high ratio of first-time acceptance in the development cycle  Prioritization – know what is important and focus on the right efforts and activities to drive expected results  Requirements:  5+ years of experience in a dynamic product owner or product management role  Deeply technical with the ability to understand technical challenges, make educated trade-offs, and influence architectural decisions  Experience working with bidirectional communication between manufacturing hardware and enterprise software  A sound understanding of enterprise-scale technologies, including applications hosted on the cloud and software as a service (SaaS)  Adept at developing a relationship with the relevant product and development managers to align the tactical capabilities with the strategic direction  Strong analytical skills and data driven product decision-making mindset  Demonstrated ability to influence and lead large, complex projects and initiatives from concept to delivery including defining and driving plans and timelines, weekly deliverables, and solving problems along the way  Experience with agile software development practices (e.g., scrum, Kanban, Lean Agile) and tools  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority  TRAVEL: this position may require up to 25% of travel  Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, technology or related field    Preferred qualifications:  Certifications: Agile, Pragmatic Management Certification (PMC), Jobs To Be Done, Project Management, Scrum Product Owner  Experience working with legacy manufacturing technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, RS-232) and modern manufacturing technologies (e.g., IoT devices, REST APIs)  Experience delivering solutions for both on-premises solutions and cloud-based solutions
