Solicitor - Criminal

This firm has a close-knit team of Solicitors and specialises mainly in Criminal Law. The Director is a second-career lawyer with excellent commercial, staff management, and operational skills. They act as a strong and supportive mentor to their team, always have an open-door policy, and enjoy watching their solicitors grow and develop in their firm. You will have 0 - 2 years PQE. You will have completed your final papers and be admitted to the NZ Bar or waiting for admittance. You will have secured experience as a Solicitor or Law Clerk in a litigation setting and a real passion for advocacy. As an outgoing and confident lawyer who enjoys public speaking, you will prepare arguments and submissions, advise your clients, and attend and represent those with a range of charges and disputes including: Serious Criminal Charges Minor Criminal Charges Civil Disputes Trust and Estate Disputes Relationship Property Family Disputes You will work in a great team sharing ideas, opinions, and advice, attending social events, and building great relationships. As well as a good base salary the firm also offers an achievable bonus between 10% and 14% of your base salary.
