The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advisory services to safeguard the mana and reputation of Whakaata Maori and for leading our contract and legal function at Whakaata Maori.Bachelor of Laws with current practicing certificateA minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar roleThorough knowledge of Media LawWorking understanding of the Broadcasting Complaints process, the Privacy Act, the Official Information Act and other relevant legislationA strong understanding of te ao Maori, including tikanga Maori, te reo Maori, and Maori cultural practices, and exhibit comfort and competency in working within cross-cultural contexts.Fluency in te reo Maori (written and verbal) or a commitment to developing proficiency in the languageOur kaihoe consistently tell us they work here because they believe in our kaupapa, come join our team.
