What your impact will look like here: Serve as direct manager for our 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) team.
SOC Team is responsible for monitoring, detection, response, and threat hunting for Granicus production SaaS applications as well as internal corporate infrastructure.
Responsible for personnel management of employees and contractors in the SOC.
Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring for members of the SOC, including both technical and professional guidance.
Drive quality assurance in the execution of incident handling procedures and other SOPs.
Drive operational tempo of SOC work product including incident handling, threat hunting, and other operational tasks.
Serve as escalation point for SOC incidents.
Work closely with Senior Director, Global Cyber Defense to drive strategic initiatives as well as align to Granicus norms and standards.
Develop metrics, dashboards, and other reporting to measure SOC effectiveness.
You will love this job if you have: Significant experience working in a high performing SOC.
Common pitfalls to avoid that lead to ineffective and/or inefficient SOCs.
Working knowledge of common threat actor TTPs.
Working knowledge of how and where to research emerging TTPs.
Working knowledge of Cyber Security detection and response processes, methodologies, and tools.
Strong sense of ownership and ability to be a self-starter.
Ability to work independently to accomplish assigned objectives with minimal supervision.
Ability to write technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train team members.
