Due to an internal promotion we've got an opportunity for you to join our team as a Regional Senior Contracts & Relationship Manager (South Island), you'll lead the management of a regional portfolio of Delivery Partner contracts (such as Courier, Rural Delivery and Express), while also providing national level subject matter expertise in relation to one of our sub-category contract groups, in this instance (Express): Taking ownership of your region, you'll be business partnering with our regional leadership team and own the strategic relationships with our Delivery Partners, involving contract and relationship management activities.
You'll be leading a small team of contract specialists to ensure all regional contract management activities are carried out in line with good contract management and best business practice, along with developing and executing internal and external relationship strategies, including contributing to the strategic level governance forums.
You'll achieve these by: Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure regional and national business initiatives are supported and achieved Sharing knowledge, best practices and learning within the field of contract management Providing contract knowledge and driving ongoing value through contract negotiations, changes, reviews and terminations Working with legal and commercial specialists to maximise vendor value, obtaining input into development of contracts, negotiations and other contractual issues.
Overseeing the evaluation and monitoring of contracts - managing any variations to standard terms and conditions, compliance to contractual obligations and identifying potential opportunities or risks.
Contributing to business improvements, providing input and feedback into team initiatives and strategic programmes.
As an experienced senior level Contract Management and Relationship Manager, you'll have experience outsourcing arrangements and have up-to-date knowledge of the Distribution / Logistics and Supply landscape, services offered, and pricing.
You'll combine this with: Contract negotiations, vendor management, 3rd party contracts & contract law will have formed a large part of your previous roles.
Being used to, and have had success operating in a fast-paced matrixed environment where stakeholder relationships have been key to your success Experience working in an operational environment and engaging with small to medium business owners.
Being comfortable balancing the 'hands on'/ operational aspects of leading a small team, while also applying a national/ strategic perspective Excellent commercial acumen and relationship management skills Strong people leadership experience, including the ability to coach and mentor As you will be bringing best practice contract management your commercial acumen and strong attention to detail will be valued.
