Mo te turanga | About the role Projects: Budget management for education team and financial risk management for funded projects.
Report Generation and Analysis: Data analysis and reporting for funded projects.
Continuous Improvement: Analyse business requirements and assist with project planning and delivery.
Contracts and Procurement: Coordinate tender processes, liaise with WRC legal and procurement specialists and be a proactive member of the contracts working group.
Mo te tangata | About you Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge and experience of Tikanga Maori and desire to grow and develop.
Commitment to maintaining and strengthening stakeholder engagement and partnerships.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to a range of personality types.
Political awareness and skill in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues (including bi-cultural sensitivity).
Mo nga pukenga | Qualifications and experience Relevant Tertiary Degree in Social Development or Business.
Minimum 5-6 years of experience in project/contract management and coordination.
Experience in supporting the development and implementation of project plans with multiple stakeholders.
Intermediate Excel skills.
Experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience in contract and procurement management as well as process management.
Mo te tima | About the team The Project Coordinator - Education will join a high performing, supportive education team with workstreams in Enviroschools, Kura Waiti ki Kura Waita, Youth & Secondary and Waste Prevention.
The Project Coordinator will also liaise with a number of external stakeholders including Iwi, Local Government agencies (peers in other local authorities), contractors/consultants and service providers, related industry contacts, Toimata Foundation and Enviroschools Facilitators.
