About the Role
Are you looking for the next step in your career progression? This is a unique opportunity for an organised and self-motivated leader to join the RealNZ team, effectively operating the overnight experience in stunning Doubtful Sound.
Based in Te Anau as part of the operations team, you will be responsible for base support to those working in Doubtful Sound, driving the success of one of our premium experiences and the welfare of a close-knit team running our epic overnight cruises. If you ooze positivity and aren't afraid to learn the ropes and get hands on, this might be the perfect role for you.
Key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring our beautiful overnight vessel is being operated efficiently, enabling the team to provide the best experience for our guests.
Keeping a close eye on schedules, adjusting capacities to maximise availability and productivity across experiences.
Setting your team up for success with training & development, as well as supporting them in their daily work life by effective rostering, system implementation and planning.
Controlling the budget for operations assigned to you, hitting targets and managing costs.
Ensuring the safety of all staff, customers, contractors and general public, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service at all times.
We are looking for someone who has:
Experience in leadership and mentoring.
Strong people and communication skills.
Full NZ Drivers Licence (essential).
Experience in maritime operations would be beneficial.
