The role:
As an Operations Manager based in Invercargill reporting directly to the General Manager New Zealand, you will lead a team across Southland and the wider Otago region responsible for the overall service delivery of a significant Utility contract as well as local commercial clients. If you don't come with industry experience, you'll need to bring your full toolkit of exceptional leadership, along with extensive experience in planning, commercial acumen, and financial performance including budgets and forecasting.

Lead, grow, motivate and manage a team of qualified arborists, administrators and support staff.
Influence and encourage a high level of Health, Safety and Quality ensuring industry risk, compliance and controls are followed and adhered to.
Engagement with clients building strong and trusted relationships.
Complete accurate financial reporting, including revenue, profit and cost tracking.
Manage the area programme of works ensuring a continued exceptional service is delivered.
Oversee fleet management ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained and serviced.
Identify new business opportunities to grow the wider Southland region.
A little more about you:
Previous experience in a leadership role – industry knowledge is preferred.
Excellent commercial and financial acumen, including reviewing P&L reports, scheduling and planning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of industry regulations and legislative requirements in particular the Electricity (Hazards from Trees) Regulations 2003.
Proven strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and be innovative with new systems and technology.
A calm and organised customer-focused approach, but most importantly, a great sense of humour where the success of your people is important to you.
