General Manager Corporate Services

In partnership with its community, Environment Southland (Regional Council) is responsible for the sustainable management of Southland's natural resources - land, water, air, and coast.
Council operates in a large geographical region from Stewart Island to Fiordland.
Due to a recent realignment, the CE is looking to appoint a General Manager Corporate Services.The GM will be responsible for leading the Corporate Services Group, which comprises of the Finance, Information Management, and Technology teams that together provide cohesive organisational support.
The GM will ensure that these functions underpin the business and enable efficiency and effectiveness gains, and also provide strategic financial and investment advice to Council, the Senior Executive Team, and the managers in their Group; and oversee the implementation of Council's technology and information strategies and the initiatives that are currently underway to ensure Council has a secure, resilient, cost-effective, and integrated technology ecosystem.You will have experience operating at a senior leadership level and be confident in providing strategic leadership to experienced managers.
You will be an exceptional people leader and be strategic in your thinking.
You will enjoy building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and be politically savvy.
You will be CA qualified with a proven track record of leading corporate services or finance teams.
