Unit Leaders: Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hoursHelp plan the term's activities and deliver them to the girlsComplete occasional evening/weekend training as requiredAttend occasional leader/planning meetings, and trips or campsAwaruku Pippins is located in Waiake, Auckland, and you will be supporting girls aged between 5 and 7 years old.
Unit Team Leaders: The successful candidate would need to be prepared to obtain their Leadership Qualification and, in time, take over the running of the unit. This is a perfect role for an existing or previous Guiding Leader.
Awaruku Pippins meet Tuesdays from 16:30 - 17:30 pm term-time only on weeknights. No experience is needed, but we need reliable volunteers, and previous experience working with youth is an advantage. GirlGuiding New Zealand's Health and Safety policy also has requirements around adult-to-child ratios, so we require you to be older than 18. Time commitment:
This role would require a 2-4 hour a week commitment for planning and running activities. If this doesn't suit, we would love to talk with you about other more flexible options that may suit you.
