Hourly of work - Minimum 30 hours per week
REQUIREMENT :
At least three years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry.
Candidates must show their eligibility to work in New Zealand.
Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays.
TASKS:
Determining work requirements and allocating duties to commercial housekeepers, public area cleaners, and linen runners.
Responsible for ensuring that all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, are meticulously maintained to meet the hotel's standards.
Monitoring stocks of guest room supplies, coordinating the linen supplies receiving, distribution, and returns daily.
Monitoring and maintaining productivity of the team.
Scheduling shifts and arranging for replacements in cases of absence while maintaining attendance register.
Establishing and educating staff on cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards, and maintaining OSH Registers for recording incidents.
Overseeing the work of the housekeeping teams and suggesting improvements and changes.
Working with the operations/management team of the hotel to coordinate activities and contribute to the smooth running of the hotel.
Motivating team members and resolving any issues that occur on the job.
May perform front office and hotel reception duties when required.
Ensuring that the hotel building and other facilities are kept clean and tidy.
Enforcing staff compliance with established safety and sanitation policies.
Training housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks and performing regular refresher trainings.
Checking rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness.
Responding to customer complaints and special requests and resolving any shortfall.
Participating in large cleaning projects as required, including deep clean and pest control.
Ensuring arrival rooms are ready and checked before check-in time.
The Candidate should include these common skills and qualifications:
Proven housekeeping or hospitality experience.
The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure timely deliverance of clean rooms.
The ability to multitask.
A great attitude and pride in your work.
A high level of attention to detail.
Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and products.
Experience operating at least as a self-checker.
