Our social services are focused on whakawhanaungatanga and manakitanga (relationships and hospitality) to help build safer, stronger, more connected families and communities. This includes supporting older people to maintain their wellbeing and positive social connections as they age and helping tamariki, teens, and families to learn, grow, and thrive. We have sites across the upper South Island covering the Tasman & Marlborough (Te Tau Ihu o te waka a Maui), West Coast (Te Tai Poutini), and Canterbury districts (Otautahi & Hakatere). The Role The Youth Coach role is to provide support and coordination to assist eligible young people to assess the Youth Benefit and ensure they are supported to meet the requirements of compliance with this. You will create a positive and respectful environment that supports the young person to work towards their goals. There will be individualised case management, assessments, goal plans, advocacy, and ongoing support in a range of settings to meet the needs of the client. You will have regular meetings with the client and regular communication with family/whanau, relevant providers, and other stakeholders as required for effective support. This role is 20 hours a week, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM over 3 or 4 days. Days negotiable.
