This organisational wide role will work closely with coordinators and trainers across the business, with particular focus on providing day to day support and training rostering for the Container Terminal and Coal Operations, as well as maintaining LPC's Learning Management System and training resource development.Based at Waterfront house and reporting to our Training Manager, this is a unique opportunity within LPC that will see you make this role your own, as you build and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.About you:You will bring previous experience in a training role and have strong skills in organisational coordination. You will be creative, solutions focused and be able and willing to use your initiative and make decisions. You will be quick to gain knowledge about operational processes and use this to create technical documentation and training resources. Being able to coordinate and liaise with other key stakeholders will be a huge part of this position. You will also be responsible for the supervision of 6 tutors, who deliver operational training across all skills within our coal and terminal operations.Skills and experience:Working knowledge of training frameworks, including NZQA unit standards.Experience in managing expectations of multiple stakeholders.Knowledge of training techniques and the ability to design training courses and modules that meet industry standards.Prior experience as a technical trainer is preferred but not essential.Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role.Solid level of experience in MS Office suite, and LMS systems.Adult Education Level 4 or similar is desirable.About LPC:We are Lyttelton Port Company (LPC), the largest Port in the South Island, committed to Leading the Way for our people and our region.
