Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts
We are seeking two innovative and passionate teachers, who have students at the heart of their practice, to teach predominantly Y9-10 classes across any of the above learning areas. In some areas (e.g., Drama), senior class(es) may be available.
Enthusiasm and empathy for Y9-10 learners will be a definite advantage. For suitable applicants, part-time hours may also be considered. Beginning teachers and primary trained teachers are especially welcome to apply.
Rangitikei College is located in Marton, less than 40 minutes from Palmerston North and Whanganui, and has a growing roll of just over 300 young people.
Having recently reset our pouwhenua (purpose, vision, and values), our college is poised to launch into significant curriculum transformation over the next few years. The successful applicant will be expected to be committed to that journey and prepared to work closely with teachers from other learning areas to create new learning opportunities for our students. A strong commitment to culturally responsive and relational teaching approaches is essential.
