You will work with our enthusiastic Y5–6 students in the Maahuri team while guiding and supporting a team of 5 teachers.As the Y5–6 team leader, you will drive the school's strategic vision and goals. You will collaborate closely with your team to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the NZ Curriculum and our school's values.The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective teaching practices in literacy and maths, be collaborative and open-minded, and communicate clearly. A strengths-focused approach with our akonga, effective organisational and behaviour management skills, and a willingness to support others are essential. You will also work closely with the Middle Leadership Team and deputy principal (Senior School) to implement a responsive learning programme.We are a well-resourced school with a strong commitment to professional development, providing numerous opportunities for growth and leadership. All Y5–6 students have 1:1 Chromebooks and work in single-cell classrooms.
