WordPress Developer
We are looking for a talented WordPress Developer to join a team dedicated to transforming ideas into innovative digital experiences. This New Zealand business' goal is to empower clients with the tools they need to succeed in the digital space. This permanent, in-house role based in Auckland offers excellent opportunities for career development and a work environment where no days are the same.

Responsibilities: As a WordPress Developer, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring high performance, reliability, and user-centric design.
Implement new features and functionality, leveraging WordPress frameworks, plugins, and APIs to enhance user experiences.
Customize and optimize WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring seamless functionality and design consistency.
Collaborate closely with design, content, marketing, and project management teams to bring creative ideas to life, ensuring brand alignment across digital platforms.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance issues while adhering to best security practices.
Stay informed on industry trends, security protocols, and emerging technologies to keep the company's web assets current and secure.

Key Skills and Experience: 2-3 years minimum experience as a full-stack WordPress Developer.
Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and core WordPress functions.
Hands-on experience with custom theme and plugin development and integration.
Familiarity with front-end coding frameworks, including SASS, jQuery, and responsive web design principles.
Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and WordPress optimization practices.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively, ensuring optimal site performance and user experience.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
