YOUR MISSION
You are a native app developer experienced in building native mobile apps on the Android platform. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the infrastructure. Each Journey Digital project is a highly-collaborative effort, and a strong team player with a commitment to excellence is required.
Level: Early-to-mid Senior
Location: Kingsland, Auckland office.
Client: A blue-chip New Zealand client.
Duration: Contract to 22 December 2024, with a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Remuneration: Up to $130,000 gross per annum, pro rata for contract duration.
For this role you must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand and be based in Auckland, New Zealand. We will not be recruiting from overseas for this role, and you will not be able to work from outside of Auckland or offshore.
ABOUT YOU
Essential must-haves:
Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
Using a modern tech stack (MVVM, Hilt, Room, Jetpack Compose, etc.)
Great organisational skills.
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
An innate curiosity to keep up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in the technology world.
The ability to interpret technical plans and implement them with excellence.
Finely-tuned problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
The ability to take the initiative without being prompted.
Strong analytical and presentation skills.
Good understanding of mobile app consumer behaviours.
The ability to comprehend and process data efficiently.
A practical understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design.
A portfolio of your work that has been launched on app stores.
