About the role
We're ramping up for a period of high activity and need additional expertise to ensure we're prepared at all stages. This newly created role will enable you to mentor the team to embed best practice project management principles, while managing the delivery of a range of milestone projects including rolling out a new city-wide roadside waste & recycling collection process, and planning the future Spicer landfill.
You will:
Maintain oversight of all major projects within the Waste team
Plan, manage and deliver key capital projects
Implement and embed best practice project management processes across the team
Provide subject matter expertise across the team and wider organisation as required
About you
You'll be a guru in project management and enjoy sharing your knowledge by mentoring others and building overall capability in the team and wider organisation.
You'll need to show us that you:
have significant project management experience in delivering large capital projects
have strong leadership and coaching skills
have the ability to manage a diverse and flexible work programme
have excellent influencing and relationship skills with external partners
will foster meaningful and positive working relationships
have a collaborative approach in all that you do
hold a recognised project management qualification (e.g. Prince 2 practitioner or similar)
