Salary midpoint of $105,270, actual salary dependent on your experience At Manatu Hauora – Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters. The Ethics team ensures that health and disability service providers, and therapeutic products, meet acceptable standards for safety and effectiveness and ensure providers are operating ethically. Ko ake mahi - What you'll do You will provide high quality advice and support to the National Ethic Advisory Committee (NEAC) and the Advisory Committee on Assisted Reproduction (ACART). This role provides key policy/advisory support to matters relating to ethical issues in health research and services to do with assisted human reproduction and human reproductive research. You will represent the Ministry at relevant meetings, lead key work programs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes within the team. You will also mentor colleagues and ensure all work aligns with equity priorities and Treaty of Waitangi obligations. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience. In-depth understanding of health and disability research ethics and New Zealand's ethical review system. Experience within the New Zealand health and disability sector, with knowledge of government structures and processes. Strong initiative, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
