About this job... As Waitemata Quality & Training Manager, you will lead a team of 5 laboratory staff and 1 training specialist to provide best-in-class quality management services to our Brewery. This role is essential for developing and championing a quality culture mindset, not only with the quality team but also with the wider Waitemata Brewery team. You will deliver the goods by: Leading a team of highly skilled lab technicians - champion and lead the Quality Assurance priorities for DB Breweries. Ensuring that all products meet the requirements for microbiological, analytical, and packaged product specifications. First Time Right. Owning the maintenance of the Brewery Quality Management and Food Safety Risk Management systems. You will ensure compliance with the NZ Food Safety standards, along with Heineken Global compliance standards. Leading the Food Safety internal/external audit to ensure quality management compliance on site. Monitoring and analysing customer complaints relating to quality. Managing the quality budget - this includes training, operational and personnel expenses. CAPEX management may also be required. Ensuring delivery of key quality metrics - this includes FTR, write-offs, compliance, and customer complaints. Working closely with the Training Specialist in your team to ensure all relevant documentations including SOP's, training needs, and ISO220 requirements are current. Championing the change management process for the site to ensure we remain compliant with Heineken and ISO22000 standards. About you… You will ideally have a Tertiary Education degree in Science, Technology and/or Quality Assurance. 5 years practical experience in either production, manufacturing and/or supply chain. Experience with food safety systems and quality management systems are essential. Experienced people leader with a growth mindset. Knowledge of GMP and auditing practices. Knowledge of ISO/HACCP/FSSC22000. SAP Experience is preferred; however, it is not essential as we have a robust onboarding and training program in place. Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies - at DB, we use TPM (preferred). You will have previous experience with setting up, managing and improving skill matrices.
