Driver Trainer

We are currently looking for a Driver Trainer to provide training to new and current drivers within Alexander Group. The role is based in Glenbrook and will cater to all locations in the North Island. Responsibilities: Ensure all drivers are trained and operating to legislative and Alexander standards.
Design and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure drivers possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and certifications required for safe and efficient operations.
Assist HR team by actively participating in the recruitment process and giving feedback on candidates' drive assessments.
Facilitate onboarding, induction, and training including orientation, vehicle familiarisation, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate training records, driver certifications, training modules, and performance evaluations.
Provide ongoing coaching to improve driver performance.
Effectively communicate and develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Occasional driving duties as a Senior Driver.
Minimum Requirements: Proven coaching/training experience and at least 5 years driving experience in NZ.
Current clean Class 5 license.
Current Dangerous Goods endorsement/certificate.
A sound understanding of the transport sector.
HSNO certification and I endorsement (desired).
Sound computer knowledge and comfortable using transport/logistics related programmes and systems.
NCEA level 1-3.
Sound knowledge of NZ road legislation.
