Qualifications:
1. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Video Editing Software:
Must-Have: Advanced knowledge of industry-standard video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop, and other post-production tools for motion graphics.
Understanding of Video Formats & Codecs: In-depth knowledge of different video formats, codecs, and resolutions (e.g., H.264, ProRes, 4K, etc.), and how to optimize them for different platforms.
Audio Editing: Basic to intermediate skills in audio editing and sound design, including syncing audio, reducing noise, and enhancing dialogue.
Color Grading: Ability to perform basic color correction and grading to maintain a consistent look and feel across projects.
File Management: Strong organizational skills for managing project files, naming conventions, and version control.
2. Creativity and Storytelling:
Strong Sense of Storytelling: Ability to translate raw footage into a compelling narrative that aligns with the project goals.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in terms of pacing, timing, and visual consistency.
Understanding of Branding: Awareness of how to align the video content with the brand's style and voice.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
Team Collaboration: Experience working in a collaborative environment, taking feedback, and making revisions based on input from creative directors, clients, or team members.
Clear Communication: Ability to clearly communicate ideas and technical information to non-technical team members or clients.
4. Coachability and Adaptability:
Willingness to Learn:
Open to learning new techniques, software, and industry trends, and receptive to feedback for continuous improvement.
Willingness to participate in workshops, online courses, or other training to further develop their skills.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different project styles and changing priorities, and to work under tight deadlines.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address technical issues or creative challenges as they arise.
5. Professionalism and Work Ethic:
Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Portfolio: A portfolio that showcases a variety of editing styles, techniques, and a clear understanding of visual storytelling.
Passion for the Craft: Demonstrated passion for video production and a genuine interest in staying updated with the latest industry trends and techniques.
6. Educational Background:
Relevant Education: ? A degree in film production, multimedia, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has significant relevant experience.
