We're looking for a passionate student UI/UX Designer to join our start-up team and help us take our app to the next level.
This is an exciting opportunity for a student designer to gain valuable industry experience by working with a start-up company on an existing app that requires design enhancements. The role involves making design changes, creating mockups, wireframes, and interaction designs, and improving user workflows. Tasks and duties Collaborate with our team to understand the current app and identify areas for design enhancement. Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Figma. Develop interaction designs, layouts, and flow diagrams for user use case workflows. Utilize design tools to create design artifacts that align with the app's branding and user experience goals. Provide innovative ideas to improve the app's overall design, usability, and user satisfaction. Work with the team in occasional meet-ups in Auckland to discuss user interactions and design changes. Requirements: Currently enrolled in a design-related program (UI/UX, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, etc.). Proficiency in Figma and relevant design tools. Link to your portfolio showcasing your design work. A list of 2-3 apps you admire for their design, along with a brief explanation of why you like them. Passion for health and fitness, with a keen interest in how design can improve user experiences in this industry. Based in Auckland, with the ability to meet in person initially and for occasional follow-ups. Benefits: Gain hands-on experience in the industry with a real-world project. We are not sure of the amount of work, but at the moment expect some initial chunks of work of about 5-10 hours and then a few hours per week on a casual ongoing basis.
