The 2024 Long-Term Plan for Hutt City Council has forecast a significant level of investment into the transport network. This includes Tupua Horo Nuku, the Micromobility programme, Cross Valley Connections and Riverlink.In addition to the significant work programme, we're ensuring we have increased resilience and the ability to respond to the impacts of severe weather-related events which is a priority, alongside operating the transport network as well as ongoing maintenance and renewals programmes.About the roleLeverage your Road and Traffic Asset management and customer skills to work with our community and stakeholders to deliver services across our transport network.Responsibilities:Leading the planning, design, and delivery of transport infrastructure asset management activitiesDeveloping and implementing asset management strategies and requirements for the monitoring, maintenance, strengthening, and renewal of Council's transport assetsProviding professional asset management services to deliver a safe and efficient multi-modal transport networkCollaborating with the team to assist in the management of the city's transport systemThis role focuses on effective management of our transport assets. You'll help deliver transport outcomes aligned with the city's vision for the future and be an advocate for the adoption of appropriate transport asset policy at Council level.About youYou'll be experienced in roading asset management and be able to apply principles to improvement opportunities. This role will draw not only on your people skills, but also your ability to represent Council at community meetings on transport asset-related matters.
