InterContinental Wellington is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Engineering team in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of our facilities.
Your Role
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure that the hotel's equipment is operated in accordance with brand standards to ensure maximum efficiency and guest satisfaction. Using your engineering experience, you will assist with any maintenance needs and projects of the hotel to ensure guests experience a five-star stay. Your leadership will be essential in carrying out all maintenance activities with precision and safety, contributing to the overall excellence of the hotel.
Key responsibilities include:
Carry out scheduled inspections.
Respond to requests from departments throughout the day.
General building maintenance & repairs.
Apply your trade expertise, whether mechanical, electrical, engineering or other, and maintain the hotel to the desired standard.
Assist the maintenance team where required.
What You'll Need
2 years of engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relevant trade skills, and general maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the company.
Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities.
Strong communication skills. You will be building working relationships with people across the hotel team and interacting with guests.
Flexibility - you are required to be available for rotating shifts, including weekends.
