We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for coordinating an efficient and effective skills training offer at the McIntyre Centre.
The McIntyre Centre in Bishop Auckland is an exciting new development for the Bishop Auckland College Group.
Located in the town centre, the iconic Grade II listed building has been at the heart of the community for more than 150 years.
Having undergone a beautiful renovation, the McIntyre Centre will be the home to a new restaurant with training kitchen, exhibition and retail space, training facilities including two digital suites, job matching service and workspaces for emerging businesses.
The McIntyre Centre will be a central hub supporting young people and adults to develop skills for jobs that are emerging as fantastic new ventures and visitor attractions open in the local area.
About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for coordinating an efficient and effective skills training offer at the McIntyre Centre.
You will lead a team of Skills Trainers, as part of an exciting new team in the heart of the town centre, to implement training courses and programmes which will develop the skills of local people in the community that lead to educational and employment opportunities.
The candidate we are looking for is a dedicated professional with strong organisation and communication skills, who can create a positive welcoming environment for students.
They will have successfully managed training programmes and have a passion for widening participation and skills development of local people.
The successful candidate will possess a Level 4 in a relevant subject area, teaching qualification and a digital skills qualification.
It is desirable that the candidate will also possess a Degree in Education, Training or related area, Level 3 Assessors certificate and Level 2 Equality & Diversity.
Applicants will have proven experience of coordinating successful training programmes and workshops, managing data to meet performance targets, reviewing training programmes and monitoring outputs and targets.
This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
