EMC Technologies NZ Ltd is currently seeking a Test Officer to perform EMC and Radio testing at our Auckland Laboratory.
This interesting work involves testing to New Zealand, Australian and international EMC/RF standards using sophisticated instruments and facilities.
New and imported products are tested for compliance with various local and international regulations such as RCM, CE marking and FCC rules using spectrum analysers, EMI receivers, RF amplifiers, specialist EMC test equipment, and anechoic chambers.
Most work including RF testing and calibration is carried out in accordance with IANZ accreditation to IEC / ISO 17025.
You will be working with customers to test their products and their new designs so that compliance is achieved.
The person we are seeking will have: Relevant experience in EMC and/or Radio testing however training will be given Have a tertiary qualification in Electronics / Communications.
Will have performed tests, assessments, inspections and calibrations to New Zealand or Internationals standards.
The ability to prepare and assess/review detailed technical reports.
Able to maintain accurate job records and time keeping.
A self-motivated professional approach with a high level of commitment to customer focus and an ability to meet deadlines.
The ability to work as part of the EMCT team and to work alone when required.
A good eye for detail and the ability to adhere to detailed test and review procedures and manage customer projects.
Ensure safe working conditions are observed at all times.
A current driving licence A good command of English, written and oral.
Able to carry relatively heavy test equipment  Additional preference will be given to applicants with the following: The ability to use test instrumentation including but not limited to spectrum analysers, EMI Receivers, Oscilloscopes and other RF test equipment.
A knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, IANZ Rules and/or quality procedures.
A knowledge of EMC/EMR/Radio compliance standards and regulations set by regulatory authorities such as the MBIE – RSM, ACMA, CE, FCC, & VCCI.
