Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Lead / Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of our product development and technical leadership. The ideal candidate is a former engineer with a strong background in software development, passionate about designing solutions, and guiding a cross-functional team. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who excels in both strategic product leadership and technical implementation. You will play a key role in scaling, developing, and deploying products that make a meaningful impact in the health and disability space.

Key Responsibilities: Product Ownership: Lead the full product development lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance, mentorship, and decision-making on architecture and design. Team Management: Oversee a collaborative team of engineers and product managers, fostering a high-performance, supportive work environment. Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of robust software solutions that are scalable and efficient. Agile Implementation: Refine agile methodologies to improve team efficiency and product delivery timelines. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities, and communicate progress. Process Optimisation: Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline workflows and improve performance. Development: Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, and maintainable code for Web APIs, database integration, and other functionalities. Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and maintain secure, high-performing apps using cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and manage CI/CD pipelines. Qualifications: Experience: At least 7+ years in software development with expertise in Blazor, C#, .NET, relational databases, and clean architecture. Proven track record in leadership roles such as Technical Product Lead, Implementation Lead, or similar positions. Strong expertise in agile methodologies and project management tools. Expertise in cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Exceptional communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable working with large-scale applications and making platform & framework decisions. Experience in CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment. Location: Must reside in New Zealand and be able to work in our Mt Albert offices, with flexible hybrid options available.
