Our aviation consultants have undertaken projects for over 260 airports in 120 countries – hence we have a deep understanding of the aviation industry from all viewpoints. As a Technical Director in our New Zealand Aviation team, you will bring your industry experience to our aviation and airports business in New Zealand. A key focus of your role will be to guide the strategic direction and oversee technical aspects of our current aviation projects across the region. You will also focus on tactical endeavours that will develop and grow our project pipeline. Key accountabilities of the role include: Lead the delivery of airfield engineering design and construction monitoring, including layouts, paving, ground lighting, system, utilities and terminal interfaces Develop the existing civil and systems team capabilities related to airfield design Engage with client teams to raise awareness of Mott MacDonald's aviation capabilities and position us to win upcoming projects Provide technical oversight and operational management for aviation projects. Engage with your regional and global aviation cohort, sharing knowledge and resources to win and deliver work. This role can be based in Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington. About you To be successful in this role, you'll need to have the following: Substantial experience planning and delivering major aviation capital or change programmes Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Civil engineering discipline Passion for mentoring other team members to develop the team capability, inspiring people as a collaborative effort with a team mentality Ability to balance the delivery of exceptional work with a proactive approach to winning work from prospects and existing clients Our values, culture and benefits Our purpose is clear and ambitious.
