Our experienced and multi-disciplinary teams walk beside them every step of the way.Our services include wide-ranging whanau ora and social services navigator support, two GP practices across two locations in New Plymouth and Whaitara, a community nursing team made up of long-term health, diabetes, cancer, child and respiratory specialists, mental health and addiction services, alcohol and drug recovery, and youth services to help whanau address life issues that may impact their overall health and wellbeing.Our mahi (work) is challenging, fulfilling and can be life changing.As an organisation, we want our kaimahi (employees) to be at their best.

The position also plays a key role in identifying opportunities for new community wellbeing initiatives, as well as providing professional advice and support with existing initiatives, across Tui Ora as a whole.
Reporting to the Kaihautu Whanau Ora, you will be well supported and celebrated for the mahi you do.Kia ekena a angitu | To promote success in this role, you will haveProven experience as a Team Leader in a community-based teamExperience leading and managing individuals and teamsExperienced in reporting writing for Executive Leaderships Team, key stakeholders and funders.Understanding of Tikanga Maori, cultural values and beliefs that are important to Maori and their whanauExperience in establishing effective working relationships with whanau and other key stakeholdersUnderstanding of working within a kaupapa Maori serviceStrong work ethic, demonstrated by a high level of integrity, reliability, efficiency and self-managementStrong verbal and written communication skillsWhanau Ora, Public Health and/or relevant qualificationsA full, clean NZ Driver LicenceExperience in applying tikanga Maori as it applies in the role (desirable).This is a real opportunity for you to action meaningful change for your clients/patients and the communities you are working with.
