As we all know, waste is now a mainstream environmental and sustainability challenge for all New Zealanders. It affects all of us on a micro level, so our Waste Operations Business Unit has a crucial role to play in minimising waste, including educating the public, which makes our unit one of the most challenging and rewarding places to work in the Council.
As a Tip Shop Team Leader based in Happy Valley at the Southern Landfill, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Tip Shop and for leading a fantastic team of Tip Shop staff.
You will be dealing with the public on a regular basis, so your proven ability to provide excellent customer service will come in handy. You will also be someone who has experience leading people and who can set your team up for success.
The job involves physical work, which includes manually loading and unloading goods from vehicles, so if fitness is up your alley, then this role could be the perfect fit for you.

The salary range for this role is $64,404 and $75,769.
