Purapura Whetu Trust and Odyssey House Christchurch are looking for a Team Leader to lead our team delivering Alcohol and Other Drug programmes at Rolleston Prison. We work together providing holistic health and wellbeing programmes within a multi-disciplinary team to support tangata whaiora affected by problematic alcohol and other drug (AOD) use challenges.
You will support and lead a team of clinical, peer support, aftercare and whanau workers, providing a multi-disciplinary approach to working with our client group and work in collaboration with other prison-based teams to provide the best possible treatment options for our clients.
In this role, you will be
Leading a multi-disciplinary team of clinical, peer support, aftercare and whanau workers
Demonstrating your proven clinical ability. A knowledge of community based services and supports would also be beneficial.
Using a strengths-based approach
Liaising with stakeholders
Facilitating team meetings and contributing at a wider organizational level
Facilitating groups and individual interventions as appropriate
To be successful in this role, you will
Hold a Registration with an allied health profession such as Social Work, OT, NZAC, DAPAANZ etc
Have excellent organisational skills
Have experience leading a team
A good understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and knowledge of tikanga Maori /te reo
A non-judgmental approach to working with tangata whaiora
