We're looking for people who will help position our city as a welcoming, dynamic place to live, work, and visit.About the roleIn this busy and diverse role, your leadership skills and passion for having great spaces for our community will be a real asset.You will:Lead and motivate a team to provide a great standard of servicePlan maintenance schedules of playgrounds and outdoor furnitureEnsure repairs and graffiti removal are carried out promptlyWork alongside and site supervise any operational work with community groups, volunteers, school groups, and Resident AssociationsEnsure Health and Safety is front of mind for all team membersEnsure all work carried out is documented accurately, and carried out in compliance with policies and legislation.About youYou'll need to be hardworking, motivated, and passionate about Porirua City. This is a busy role, and will keep you on your toes.You'll need to show us that you:Can supervise staff to ensure programmed maintenance schedules are carried out;Are customer focused, and will deliver exceptional customer serviceHave experience in fabrication, building, and workshop maintenanceHold an unrestricted class 1 driver's licenseAre able to meet the physical demands of the role;Have effective administration skills;Have a good understanding and commitment to health and safety in the workplace;What you need to do nowCome and join our team and be part of our welcoming and engaging environment.
