A day in the life of Team Leader Responsible for ensuring a high standard of Quality and Food Safety throughout their department.Proactively leads the team in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), identifies issues, and works to promptly resolve them.Drives a Health and Safety culture within the team and actively encourages positive behaviours.Identifies risks and hazards and reports them promptly using proper tools and process.Identifies training needs and ensures training is provided in a timely manner.Ensures cross-training and job rotation needs are met for the department.Demonstrates behaviours consistent with the company values and holds the team accountable for their behaviour.Uses Lean Manufacturing techniques to ensure that issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner.Key focus on Delivery to the customer on time.Ensure labour requirements are met to complete daily production schedules.What will you bring: 3-5 years leadership experience (preferably food) in a production environment.Understanding of and exposure to production compliance, HR, Quality and Food Safety, Animal Welfare, RMP, EHS, and Continuous Improvement principles.Experience in building and leading teams including the ability to influence others.Able to make decisions within authority limits and when necessary, elevate issues.Able to balance conflicting priorities.Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work unsupervised.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Able to interpret and use relevant reports and data.Scope to grow and cover for the Production Manager when required.What is in it for you?
