We are an independent statutory entity legislated to:

We are searching for a Team Lead Corporate Services to support and manage the Corporate Services function of Te Matawai. You will have your CA, may come from a "Big 4" background and have a broad range of experience and skills including a sound understanding of accountancy, consulting, risk, process improvement, governance, team management and HR.
The role:
In this exciting and broad role, no two days will be the same. You will lead and mentor a small team, supporting the wider business in terms of providing financial reporting, budgeting and financial advice, leading process improvement initiatives, providing information to senior managers, risk and governance committees and ensuring the smooth running of the Corporate Services function.

Qualifications and experience:
Experience in an accounting, audit or consulting role gained possibly from the "Big 4"A sound understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, risk, governance, business administration, team management and HR.Experience in reviewing and improving financial policies and processes.Ability to work with outsourced providers and collaborate with them on daily tasks.Experience in coaching junior team members and team leadingStrong verbal and written communication skillsA self starting, flexible and pragmatic attitude, willing to roll your sleeves up and deliver whatever is required.A sound understanding of tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.A basic level of te reo Maori with a willingness to develop furtherPassionate advocacy for the revitalisation of Te Reo Maori.We would love to hear from you if you fulfil most or all of the requirements above.
