RAI leads intelligence and research programmes, data and analytics, and geospatial capability providing data analysis and strategic, operational and tactical intelligence assessments and products. We innovate; experiment with new products and data to continuously improve our support to MNZ. What you'll do Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive, you will have opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team passionate about building and developing Maritime New Zealand's regulatory intelligence system and capabilities. You will be a collaborative, people-focused senior leader who will bring a sharp focus to opportunities and value that comes from having a high performing Analytics and Insights function. As a member of the Organisational Strategy and Systems Leadership Team, this role will provide strategic leadership and influence across other areas of Maritime NZ, including the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership team, ensuring sound data and intelligence led decision making and strategic direction. What we're looking for Proven success as a Senior Leader in data and analytics, intelligence and geospatial disciplines; Proven effective data leadership experience with a commitment to ensuring robust data governance and stewardship; Proven ability to engage others in a vision and lead and implement transformation; Proven track record of leading and developing highly motivated and engaged teams through the creation of a safe trusting and enabling culture; The ability to network effectively in a consultative and collaborative manner, influencing and building credibility across a range of stakeholders both internal and external; A demonstrated understanding of how to use data and insights to target regulatory activities, make improvements and to manage risks; Proven experience in contributing to and understanding strategic, analytical and conceptual thinking in a complex environment, Ability to work in a culturally safe and respectful manner, always being mindful of the cultural diversity of the industry and having regard to Te Ao Maori and Treaty of Waitangi principles; Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance, check your eligibility here this link Other good stuff You'll be part of an excellent team where you will enjoy great employee benefits - we'll match your Kiwi Saver up to 4%, you'll receive Income Protection and Life Insurance upon joining.
