Waiouru Kindergarten serves the whanau of the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) as well as those living in the Waiouru area and the surrounding farming district. The kindergarten is situated on NZDF land and has fantastic views of Mount Ruapehu.

The kindergarten predominantly feeds into Waiouru Primary School which is a short walk from the kindergarten, and we encourage families to be involved with their child's daily life at kindergarten.

We are licenced for 32 over 2 tamariki and 5 under 2. This is made up of 10 tamariki who attend 8am–4.30 pm daily with the remainder attending 8.45am–2.45 pm daily.

We are looking for an enthusiastic ECE kaiako who:
Is a strong advocate for intentional teaching and learning in a whanau based environment with 0–5-year-olds, including demonstrating effective social competency teaching strategies.
Has excellent relationship, communication, and interpersonal skills & ability to work alongside your colleagues, the association, NZDF & Waiouru School.
Demonstrates a strong understanding and commitment to the wellbeing and safety of tamariki.
