Teacher Y5-8

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 20/01/2025, End Date: 12/12/2025 (covering a teacher that is shifting roles in the school in 2025 on a fixed term basis due to our unconfirmed change of class status.)
Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher
Subjects: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts.
Due to one of our teachers moving into our Y9-12 space on a fixed-term basis for 2025, we have a fixed-term one year appointment available in our Y5-8 classroom. We are seeking a team player who is open to new learning in a collaborative space across 2 schools as the school shares a principal with Te Hapua School.
The successful applicant will have experience (or show willingness to learn) in collaboratively developing an integrated place-based curriculum and knowledge of future-focused pedagogies. They will need to be able to teach multi levels (Y5-8) and have current knowledge of effective teaching practice in these years.
A strength in te reo me ona tikanga is an advantage.
