We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our vibrant learning community. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering engaging and effective NCEA Level 1 commerce & Level 2 business management programmes that equip students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the dynamic world of commerce.
About the role:
Delivering engaging and curriculum-aligned NCEA Level 1 commerce & Level 2 business management programmes.
Creating a stimulating learning environment that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles.
Assessing student progress through effective assessment practices and providing constructive feedback.
Contributing to the ongoing development of the Level 1 commerce curriculum within the school.
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
We are looking for someone who:
Possesses a strong understanding of the NCEA business management curriculum (Level 1 & 2).
The ideal applicant will have some experience of teaching NCEA Levels 1–3.
Is willing to teach junior programmes including Y9 digital commerce, and Y10 commerce.
Shows commitment to culturally responsive practice.
Demonstrates a passion for business management and a commitment to student success.
Has excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Can create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Is proficient in the use of relevant ICT tools for teaching and learning.
