We are seeking a team player who is open to new learning in a collaborative space across 2 schools as the school shares a principal with Te Hapua School.
This is a Te Reo Maori me nga Tikanga specialist teacher role. The successful person will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to design and facilitate cross-curricular Te Reo Maori learning for our two school spaces using the Ngati Kuri aspirations and goals.
You will be a passionate advocate for learners and learning, have an open mindset and be able to work collaboratively at all times. You will have experience engaging with akonga and their whanau.
You will be a confident user of te reo Maori as well as being confident in the understanding of and practice in te ao Maori and its implications for teaching in a bilingual setting kura/school.
This role may also include teaching in other areas of the school as required, as well as travelling between Ngataki and Te Hapua Schools.
Not suitable for beginning teachers.
