As a fast-moving and agile organisation, we value collaboration and adaptability, often requiring our team members to contribute across various tasks, projects, and client needs.As a Systems Engineer at The Instillery, you're seen internally as a point of escalation within the support team, providing expertise across cloud and traditional infrastructure. You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining both cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-prem environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security, as well as resolving any issues that may arise. With deep knowledge of M365, backups, and server administration, you'll offer technical and trusted guidance to both clients and internal teams, bridging modern cloud solutions with legacy systems and networking expertise.The role will involve:Supporting our clients with their technical operations - resolving issues and enabling them in their day-to-day operationsEnsuring SDM requests are prioritised appropriately and carried out according to set NPA (next point of action).Maintaining effective relationships both internally at The Instillery and externally with customers so communication lines are open and well organised;Coaching junior engineers in the team and leading by example with your troubleshooting and technical capabilityParticipating in process improvement activities and sharing best practices with the team;Our ideal candidate will have:2+ years of experience in cloud technologies, including implementation and management of cloud-based infrastructure.2+ years of experience in a technical role, focused on system infrastructure and support within an MSP or fast-paced technology environment.Exceptional technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and a confident communicatorHighly skilled in Azure and experience in AWS platform managementExperience with Microsoft Exchange (online), Identity & Access Management, Windows Server, Terminal services, Microsoft 365, VMWare, ESXi, Hyper-V, CitrixExperience in backup technologies cloud native along with Veeam, ShadowProtect, AvePointNetworking knowledge would be an advantage.All candidates should be eligible to work in NZ currently.
