About the Role
Te Runanga o Kirikiriroa is seeking passionate and dedicated Kaiawhina Permanent Support Workers to join their Nga Whare Tuhono, Mental Health Residential Service. Nga Whare Tuhono is a 22-bed facility supporting whanaunga over an extended period (6 months +) with the aim to transition whanaunga towards semi & fully independent living. You will be working with people from all walks of life starting from ages 18+.

Position details
Monday - Sunday, (12-hour shift rostered 4 days on, 4 days off shift rotation). Please note, the role requires to work on a roster of 8.00am-8.00pm on a fortnightly rotational basis. This may change to 7.00am - 7.00pm as required by business needs.Starting from $27.50 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience, aligned with pay equity)A day in the role

Pride themselves on their ability to work to a whanau first, tikanga based, wellbeing approachDemonstrate genuine empathy and active listening to concerns and needs of whanaunga whilst remaining supportiveBe able to follow procedures and instructionsHave a reasonable level of computer literacy to complete case notes and other electronic documents e.g., emailsMinimum Requirements:
Have 1-3 years working in a kaupapa Maori environmentHave 1-3 years support work experienceHave a level 4 qualification in mental health and addiction or higher, te reo Maori, tikanga Maori or be prepared to study towards one or more of these qualificationsHave evidence of being fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19Have a full drivers licenceHave proof of your right to work in New Zealand (One year minimum) Benefits
