Position Description – Support Coordinator
Title: Support Coordinator, Puketapapa Business Voice
Area: Puketapapa/Mt Roskill, Auckland
Reports to: Puketapapa Business Voice Chairperson
Starting Date: as soon as possible
Hours: 15 - 20 hours per week (Flexible)
Salary: $27.80 per hour (living wage)
Initial Contract: 6 months
Background
Puketapapa Business Voice is an association for anyone involved with the business community in the Puketapapa area. The Puketapapa area includes the suburbs of Sandringham Road South, Mt Roskill North, Mt Roskill South, Three Kings, Royal Oak, Hillsborough, Stoddard Road, White Swan Road and Lynfield.
Puketapapa Business Voice is an incorporated society formed to:

Advance the commercial interests of businesspeople and businesses in Puketapapa
Promote the safety, security, and welfare of the business community
Provide a forum for networking and collaboration of members
Support businesses on their journey towards zero carbon emissions and sustainability
Attract and retain business to drive employment and economic growth
Enhance Puketapapa as a great place to do business, capitalising on its unique identity
Be the business voice for Puketapapa
Advocate to central and local government for the improvement of infrastructure, services, amenities, security, and cleaning

Position Summary
Puketapapa Business Voice is seeking a Support Coordinator to provide business contact, administrative and communications support to our business association. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising various tasks to help establish and maintain our association. This will include developing contact and relationships with businesses, organising databases, and assisting with event planning and communications.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with businesses
Organise and maintain the database of members and stakeholders
Assist in developing events and communication newsletters based on direction from board sub-committee
Liaise with community groups and other stakeholders as directed
Assist in developing the webpage and Facebook communication for the PBV
Support the executive in producing e-documents and e-newsletters
Provide administration support for meetings and other office-related administration tasks as required
Input into the continuous development and improvement of processes and procedures within the association
Assist with marketing, events, and other tasks related to the business association
Perform any other tasks related to the role's purpose that may be reasonably asked from time to time

Qualifications and Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Proficient with computer software, including Microsoft Office and database management systems
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Familiarity with the Puketapapa area and community is an advantage

Experience:

Ideally 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a business or community organisation setting

This is a part-time position that offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of a business association in Puketapapa. The successful candidate will have a chance to work closely with the board and community stakeholders to help establish a strong and effective association.
The applicant will be able to work from home for the administrative tasks of the role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27.80 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
