The Opportunity
Step into a pivotal role with Pamu as our Supply Chain Optimiser and become a key player in driving the success of our commercial and optimisation efforts. In this role, you will collaborate with our operations team to unlock the full potential of our internal economy and external partnerships. Your primary objective will be to maximise revenue and returns for our livestock, dairy, and other produce post-farmgate.
You'll oversee the strategic management of our value stream across all prime and store stock and manage on-farm inventory to support optimal performance. Your efforts will directly influence our operating performance, ensuring that we achieve the highest value for our products.
This role also involves overseeing national supply chain and pricing strategies, forging effective relationships with our partners and internal team, and exploring new market opportunities.
By leading a small but dedicated team and working closely with regional General Managers, Business Managers, and farming teams, you will play a role in optimising our processes and driving growth. About You
You will combine your deep understanding of commercial farming with strategic insight and strong business acumen. As the ideal candidate, you will bring:
Expertise in Commercial Farming: A comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand's livestock systems, including insights into product quality, health and safety, animal welfare, and environmental management.
Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills: Proven experience in business planning and forecasting, along with a high level of analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Relationship Building: A knack for developing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners, enabling you to drive collaborative success.
Qualifications and Experience: A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, with substantial background in commercial or supply chain roles within the primary sector.
Process-Oriented and Innovative: Adept at improving systems and processes with a keen eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
Highly Organised and Customer-Focused: Capable of managing multiple priorities with a strong focus on delivering quality outcomes.
A Strong Leader: Experienced in mentoring and guiding teams, with a track record of achieving operational excellence.
This role works closely with our regional farming teams across New Zealand. A full, unrestricted driver's license is required so that you can get out to the farms you'll be partnering with.
