Our WM New Zealand Technical Services Division is a specialist team of highly qualified staff with purpose-built processing facilities and specialised Dangerous Goods transport.
Our Technical Services division can process hazardous, medical and liquid waste safely with full compliance to government and council laws and by-laws governing waste disposal of these products.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join our Technical Services team based in Wellington.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the focus of this role will be to manage the productivity and safety performance of the transport fleet.
Key Responsibilities: Leading a team of drivers.
Coordinating drivers to ensure customer expectations are met.
Regularly reviewing routes.
Liaising with the workshop suppliers on planned maintenance.
Communicating with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Despatch and Customer Service to ensure that any issues are identified and solved quickly.
Qualifications About You: Critical to your success will be your demonstrated leadership experience in managing people.
With high-quality standards and strong time management skills, you will be a safety and transport-focused individual who is able to lead, influence, and engage others to foster a positive continuous improvement culture.
Working with a variety of people both internally and externally, you will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to build solid, long-term relationships.
It is expected you will be committed to achieving workplace safety to ensure all relevant transport standards, procedures, and job instructions are followed, and we achieve 'Zero Harm' by championing and leading safety meetings on a regular basis.
Must have experience working in a similar leadership role specifically with hazardous and medical waste.
Additional Information What's in it for you?
Salary band – $85,000 - $95,000.
Permanent, Full time.
Location - Lower Hutt, Wellington.
Hours – 40 hours - Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm.
