As a team, we are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to redirect, neutralise and use waste.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Capital Asset Maintenance Strategic Asset Manager to oversee our enterprise asset management system, including 'whole of life' process from point of introduction into service until disposal. This position will be based in Auckland looking after our Upper North Island and Technical Services divisions.What you will achieve:The main purpose of the SAM (Strategic Asset Manager) is to support the business to ensure that the Company's assets deliver their maximum value while minimising costs and enhancing efficiency, reliability and utilisation. You will provide comprehensive insights to the business from data-driven analysis to facilitate a proactive, informed and optimised maintenance strategy.Leading the completion of the implementation of the company's fixed assets into JDE Capital Asset Management will be an early priority as well as supporting operations to ensure the Company's vehicle fleet, plant and equipment and fixed plant assets are maintained in accordance with Company H&S standards, policies and budgets.You will focus on technical expertise supporting maintenance plans and schedules for mobile and fixed plant and infrastructure assets to ensure service levels, safety, compliance and quality are not compromised.One of the key accountabilities of the role includes auditing and reporting on asset availability, whole of life cost, Preventative Maintenance (PM), compliance, and replacement programs. You will work closely with the division's regional managers (asset owners) to make sure all asset care schedules are achieved, and assets are available and fit for use. You will deliver accurate reporting on asset condition, compliance, costs and drive efficiency improvements.In this role, you will work closely with divisional General Managers, Operational Managers, as asset owners, and the other divisional Strategic Asset Manager, to ensure a nationally consistent approach to maintenance, and use of the JDE based Capital Asset Management (CAM) tool for Work Order processing, PM planning and scheduling asset maintenance system provided by the company. You will also work with JDE experts in IT and Technical departments to develop forward thinking maintenance processes as a result of advancement in new asset technology.What is in it for you?This is excellent chance for a forward thinking proactive individual to make a real impact on the future direction of our company and to demonstrate your leadership skills. We offer a competitive salary package and strong career prospects.QualificationsOur ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in a technical discipline, preferably in an engineering field, with mechanical engineering being particularly relevant. Your strong R&M background and asset management experience (particularly in fleet and/or fixed plant applications) along with proven project management experience in complex projects and ability to work with multiple relationships and deadlines will help you succeed in this role. A business management qualification is desirable.As a results driven professional leader you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to influence and negotiate across multiple functions to deliver results.It is important that you do not accept the status quo; have a proven track record in driving KPIs with strong people management and communication skills; perform under high levels of pressure and demonstrate the ability to maintain and make sound timely decisions, without losing sight of the bigger picture and / or long term objectives.Confident and professional interpersonal skills will come naturally to you, to deal with a range of senior professional stakeholders, in and out of the office.
