Store Manager

Job Description
Work Location: Kapiti Coast Region, Wellington
Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours/per week), Permanent role
Our pay: $29.66 - $32.00 per hour depending on skills and experience
We are on the lookout for an energetic Store Manager who can oversee the smooth running of our business. You will be excellent at customer service and proactive to keep up with the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the smooth running of the store
Ensure products are available and set prices according to purchasing cost while keeping gross margin in mind
Liaise with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels
Set budgets for the store and adhere to them
Handle materials and ensure safe storage of goods
Manage cash register and handle cash meticulously
Keep the premises neat and presentable
Manage shop staff on shift
Attend phone calls and resolve client inquiries
Maximize sales by advising customers of ongoing promotions and deals
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
Hire and train staff, schedule rosters, and manage performance

To be successful you will need to:

Have at least three years of solid relevant experience, or
Have a relevant Diploma or an equivalent qualification
Be a great team player and able to follow instructions
Be physically fit and willing to work hard
Have a good eye for detail and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
Have a 'can-do' attitude
